It is obvious from reading the Koran that Muhammad encountered biblical content, both Old and New Testament, on one or more occasions prior to writing the Koran; for example, content relating to Adam and content relating to Mary, the mother of Jesus.

His use of biblical content was plain and simple plagiarism (idea theft).
